Students often struggle with 3D modeling in STEM subjects and art classes — but a simple approach can help.
Why hands-on clay modeling matters
Building with clay gives students a tangible way to explore 3D forms. By shaping and assembling objects with their hands, they practice understanding structure, proportion, and how parts relate to one another in space.
A simple 3-step clay modeling method for spatial thinking
This approach helps you look at a real object, break it into parts, and turn what you see into a clay model. With practice, you can create your own models—not just follow along with a tutorial.
01
Observe
Look closely at a real object and break it down into its main parts.
02
Simplify
Match each part to a simple shape.
03
Build
Combine those shapes to create a clay model.

Safety-tested air-dry clay made in Korea at a facility that follows safety and quality standards. It's soft and easy to work with, dries in the air, and allows clay pieces to be attached without glue — the same clay we use in our tutorial videos.
